Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shakar was the American and British sitarist. She was the first and youngest woman to win the British House of Commons Award. Anoushka Sitar Shankar was an Indian young sitar star. She is a student and daughter to Ravi Shankar. She spent her childhood bouncing around from London in the UK to New Delhi. Her debut performance was at New Delhi when she was thirteen years old. Then she relocated to Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. Even though she's very young, Anouskha is a star in her performing and recording record. Her father has been with her in many performances for many years. The singer made Anourag her first solo album in 1998. It was nominated for a Grammy Award. Carnegie Hall album was released in 2002. Alongside performing at many of the biggest venues and venues, she also has an extensive stage presence. Anoushka isn't just a performer. In 2002 she published a book entitled Bapi The Love of My Live this is a picture-based biography, which gives a special honor to her late father Ravi Shankar. In 2003, she appeared as an Bharat Nathyam young dancer Dance Like a Man. Anoushka Shankar is an emerging superstar and her fame will keep on growing. Anoushka Shakar was born in England was a major part of her time between London Delhi. After moving to California she graduated from her high school. When she was nine years old, she began her studies in music under her father. She made her debut with the sitar four years later, at the celebration of his 75th birthday in Delhi. The father of Anoushka travelled the globe with her, and she gained many opportunities. When she was still at her teens, Anoushka performed at Carnegie Hall in Peter Gabriel's WOMAD music festival. In recognition of being one of the top musicians in Asian Arts, she was given the House of Commons Shield by British Parliament.
