Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country musician and singer whose tales of young heartache achieved widespread success in the early 20th century. Swift discovered a love for music in her early years and swiftly progressed from participating in shows for children before making her first appearance front of an audience. In 2011, Swift, then 11, sang The Star-Spangled Banner during a Philadelphia 76ers' basketball game. Following that, she began to write her own music. Swift had taken her ideas from Shania's music as well as the Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks within the realm in country music created the original songs she wrote to express her feelings of alienation. Swift's parents relocated her to Tennessee when she was 13 when they decided to sell their Pennsylvania farm. The move gave Swift to be more active in trying to find labels that would promote the country genre in Nashville.
